Dhaka, May 5 (bdnews24.com)—Assistance will be sought from neighbouring countries to reform Bangladesh Rifles, the state minister for home said Tuesday. Assistance will be sought from friendly neighbouring countries to reform, train and modernise the border guards, Tanjim Ahmed told reporters at his ministry. Earlier, BDR director general Major General Moinul Islam met with home minister Sahara Khatun. "There have been discussions about BDR reforms. In the twenty-first century people of this country want to see a modern border security force," said Ahmed. He added that the paramilitary force reverted back to normal after the bloody Feb 25-26 mutiny at their headquarters in the capital. bdnews24.com.
